Quarterly results due date calculator: every deadline from quarter end to transcript

A listed company must file its quarterly results within 45 days of the quarter end, and its audited annual results within 60 days of the year end. For the September 2026 quarter, that is Saturday, 14 November 2026. Pick a quarter to see the board-meeting notice, the filing, the newspaper advertisement, the trading window and the earnings-call dates around it.

1The period
2Board meeting (optional)

Leave the date blank to plan back from the last permitted day. The closing time decides whether the results are due in 30 minutes or three hours.

3Earnings call (optional)

Leave the date blank if the call is on the day of the board meeting.

Q2 FY27 results are due by Saturday, 14 November 2026.

A planning aid, not legal advice. Times are IST. Working days follow the NSE equity holiday list; BSE’s is usually the same. SME-exchange companies have half-yearly results and different rules.

How the calculator works it out

  1. The deadline. It adds 45 calendar days to the quarter end, or 60 for the last quarter, when the audited annual results are due under Regulation 33(3)(d). If you leave the meeting date blank, it assumes the board meets on that last day.
  2. Working days. LODR defines working days as the working days of the stock exchange. The calculator skips weekends and the NSE’s 2026 trading holidays, including 15 January, which NSE added in January 2026. NSE usually notifies the next year’s list in December, so 2027 dates skip weekends only until then.
  3. The board-meeting notice. It counts back two working days from the meeting, leaving out the meeting day, and gives the day before that. If that day is a weekend or holiday, it also gives the last working day before it.
  4. The filing. It checks the closing time against market hours of 9:15 am to 3:30 pm. A meeting that closes during the session has 30 minutes. One that closes after the session, or on a holiday, has three hours if the next session is more than three hours away.
  5. Newspapers and the trading window. It adds 48 hours to the meeting’s close for the advertisement, and 48 hours to the latest filing time for the trading window. File earlier and the window reopens earlier.
  6. The earnings call. It applies the same two-working-day notice to the call, the earlier of 24 hours or the next session’s opening for the audio recording, 48 hours for any video, and five working days for the transcript. It reads “before the next trading day” as before trading opens; a stricter reading is midnight.

What it doesn’t do: handle debt-only issuers under Regulation 52, SME-exchange companies, which report half-yearly, or a newly listed company’s first results under Regulation 33(3)(j). It also doesn’t track a company’s own extra trading-window closures for other unpublished price-sensitive information.

Frequently asked questions

What is the due date for quarterly results of listed companies?

Under Regulation 33 of SEBI LODR, results for the first three quarters are due within 45 days of the quarter end and the audited annual results within 60 days of the year end. For a March year end that means 14 August, 14 November and 14 February for the quarters, and 30 May for the year. For the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27), the deadline is Saturday, 14 November 2026.

How many days before the board meeting must the stock exchange be told?

At least two working days, under Regulation 29(1). The day of the intimation and the day of the meeting don't count, so two full working days must sit between them, and Regulation 29(2) requires the intimation to give the meeting date. Working days are the stock exchange's working days, so weekends and exchange holidays are skipped. For a board meeting on Monday, the latest intimation date is the previous Wednesday.

What if the results deadline falls on a weekend or holiday?

The date does not move. Regulation 33 counts calendar days and has no carve-out for weekends or holidays. Q2 FY27's deadline, 14 November 2026, is a Saturday, so boards either meet that Saturday or earlier in the week.

How soon after the board meeting must results reach the exchanges?

Within 30 minutes of the meeting closing. Since the December 2024 amendment to Regulation 30(6)(i), if the meeting closes after market hours and more than three hours before the next trading session opens, the limit is three hours. If the meeting runs over several days, the clock starts when the meeting closes on the day the results were considered.

When does the trading window close for quarterly results?

From the end of the quarter until 48 hours after the results become public, under clause 4 of Schedule B to the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations. For the September quarter it closes on 1 October. The exchanges enforce it by freezing designated persons' PANs, and since 2025 those of their immediate relatives too.

When must results be published in newspapers?

Within 48 hours of the board meeting closing, under Regulation 47(1), in one English national daily and one regional-language daily (Regulation 47(4)). Since the December 2024 amendment the advertisement only has to carry a QR code and the web address where the full results are available. Printing the results in full is optional. SME-exchange companies are exempt.

What are the deadlines for earnings-call recordings and transcripts?

Announce the call at least two working days ahead, again excluding the day of the notice and the day of the call. Post the audio recording on the website before the next trading day or within 24 hours of the call ending, whichever is earlier, and any video recording within 48 hours. The transcript follows within five working days, on the website and with the exchanges at the same time.
